Mainstay Beta Program Agreement

This is the agreement every external beta tester accepts before receiving a TestFlight invite. Collect acceptance in the application form (checkbox + timestamp per tester) and keep the export. The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply in full; this document adds the beta-specific parts and is written to be actually read.

What you're signing up for

Mainstay is a pre-release AI fitness coaching app for iPhone and Apple Watch. For two weeks, we ask you to:

• Complete at least two workouts per week using the app.
• Fill out a five-minute feedback survey at the end of each week.
• Tell us quickly if anything feels unsafe, wrong, or broken.

Beta access is free. It is not a promise of free access after launch or of any particular launch price.

Who can participate

By accepting, you confirm all of the following:

1. You are 18 or older.
2. You already train. You currently do resistance training and are comfortable in a gym without supervision.
3. You have no active injury and are not in rehabilitation. If you get injured during the beta, stop using the app for affected movements and tell us.
4. You are not pregnant, and you have no heart condition, uncontrolled blood pressure, or other medical condition that makes unsupervised exercise inadvisable. If you are unsure, ask your doctor first and skip the beta until cleared.

We limit the beta this way because the app cannot see you, cannot evaluate your form, and is not a medical device. It is a coaching tool for healthy adults who already lift.

The safety rules

• The AI can be wrong. Plans, weights, and cues are AI-generated and may contain errors. If a suggestion seems wrong for your body, skip or swap it. The app makes that easy; use it.
• Stop if something hurts. Pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, or shortness of breath means stop immediately. Seek medical attention if needed. No test workout matters more than that.
• Use weights you can control. The app suggests loads from your history and what you report. Only you can feel what your body is telling you.
• You assume the risk of exercise. Training carries inherent risk of injury. By participating you voluntarily accept that risk, as described in the Terms of Service.

Beta software reality

• Builds may crash, lose data, sync incorrectly between iPhone and Watch, or change without notice. Please report it when they do; that is the point of the beta.
• Do not rely on a beta build as the only record of training you care about. Workouts also save to Apple Health, which is your durable copy.
• We may add or remove testers, ship updates at any time, or end the beta program at our discretion.

Your data during the beta

• The Privacy Policy applies in full. In short: your data coaches you, is never sold, and is never used for advertising. Outdoor cardio GPS routes stay on your device in Apple Health; our servers get summary numbers only.
• TestFlight sends us the feedback and crash logs you choose to share, under Apple's TestFlight terms.
• You can delete your account and all server data anytime in the app (Profile > Delete Account).

Feedback and quotes

• Feedback you give us may be used to improve the product, without compensation.
• We will only quote you publicly (for example in App Store marketing) if you separately say yes to that in the survey, and only by first name.

The founding tester offer

Testers who complete the two-week beta will be offered a founding price of $149.99/year (public price $199.99/year), locked in for as long as the subscription stays continuously active, redeemable by personal offer code when subscriptions launch. This offer is a thank-you, not an obligation to buy.

Acceptance

The application form must include this checkbox, unmodified:

I understand Mainstay is pre-release AI software that may contain errors, I accept the inherent risks of exercise, and I agree to the Mainstay Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (linked above the form).

Store the form export (name, email, checkbox, timestamp) as the acceptance record for each tester.
